MANILA — Isolated rain showers may prevail over most parts of the country, the weather bureau said Sunday.

The northeast monsoon affecting northern Luzon will continue to bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos and Cordillera regions, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms, it added.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow over Luzon, the eastern section of Visayas, and Mindanao. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
