The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues to bring cloudy skies with rains over most parts of the country on Sunday, June 25, according to the state weather bureau.
In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the ITCZ will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain shoes and thunderstorms will be experienced in Quezon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ or localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA Weather Specialist Grace Castañeda said a low pressure area (LPA) spotted 995 kilometers (km) east northeast of Mindanao may possibly enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Sunday.
“‘Yung LPA na minomonitor natin sa labas ng ating area of responsibility ay huling namataan sa layong 995 kilometers east northeast of Mindanao,” Castañeda said.
“Wala po itong direct effect sa malaking bahagi ng ating bansa at posible itong pumasok sa loob ng ating area of responsibility ngayong araw, but within two to three days, nakikita natin na mababa ‘yung tiyansa nito na maging bagyo,” she added.
The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25ºC to 33ºC; Baguio City, 17ºC to 25ºC; Metro Cebu, 26ºC to 31ºC; and Metro Davao, 25ºC to 33ºC.
