ITCZ to bring scattered rain showers over most parts of PH

MANILA — Most parts of the country will experience scattered rain showers due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, the weather bureau said on Saturday.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Mimaropa, the Visayas, the Zamboanga Peninsula, northern Mindanao, and Caraga.

Localized thunderstorms will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) added.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow over extreme northern Luzon, and the eastern section of the country.

Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
