‘Iti Mapukpukaw’ named Cinemalaya best film

Carl Joseph Papa’s “Iti Mapukpukaw” was named as Cinemalaya 2023’s best film.

The 90-minute animated film follows the life of Eric, an animator, as it twists and turns after the arrival of the familiar alien.

The film stars Carlo Aquino, Gio Gahol, and Dolly de Leon, who received the Best Supporting Actress award.

“Iti Mapukpukaw” also received the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) Award for full-length film.
