Japan PM Suga cancels visit to PH due to Covid-19 pandemic

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque has announced that the Office of Japan Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide cancelled his visit to the country this month because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Roque said this decision “deserves support” because the Philippines and Japan are both prioritizing the defeat of the pandemic.

He assured that the “strategic partnership and broad cooperation” of the two countries will continue to strengthen despite the visit’s cancellation.
