Jealous man kills 6 in Nueva Ecija village

SAN LEONARDO, Nueva Ecija — Six people were killed, including two children, when an alleged jealous man ran amuck with a bolo in Barangay Tambo Adorable here at Friday dawn.

Initial reports identified the suspect as a certain Jessie Tesoro, live-in partner of a certain Jennifer, one of the fatalities.

Aside from Jennifer, the fatalities were her mother, two men, a 10-year old girl, and an 11-year old boy. Their names were not disclosed.

Neighbors could not give details about the family except that they spoke in Kapampangan. The family reportedly began renting the house two weeks ago.

Police said the family could have come from Capas, Tarlac.

A tricycle driver said the suspect hired him to bring him to the Santa Rosa town junction at about 4:30 a.m.

The suspect, in a white shirt, did not show any sign of restlessness, the driver said.

Investigators are still looking for the murder weapon and the motive has yet to be established.

Chief Supt. Amador Corpus, director of the Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon) refused to name the victims.

He said he has formed a team to track down the man, who is now “a person of interest”, who has an intense anger, judging by the way the crime was committed.

He ruled out that the crime was drug related. (PNA)
