Court orders arrest of Joma Sison, 37 others, on Inopacan, Leyte massacre

Presiding Judge Thelma Bunyi-Medina of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 32 has ordered the arrest of CPP founding chairperson Jose Ma. Sison and 37 others in connection with the Inopacan, Leyte massacre in 1985. The alleged summary execution dubbed by the New People’s Army as “Oplan Venereal Disease” claimed the lives of 300 people on suspicion of ties with the military.
