Kabisig gov’t expo launched in Quezon City

MANILA — A one-stop government information exhibit dubbed as “Kabisig Philippine Government Expo and Trade Fair” was launched on Tuesday at the Trinoma Mall, Quezon City.

In his speech as guest speaker, Defense Assistant Secretary Raul Caballes said the exhibit helps foster partnership among the various government agencies towards “achieving sustainable and genuine development for the betterment of our country.”

“This gives us opportunities to foster collaboration with other agencies to further improve our services,” Caballes said.

Caballes said the exhibit also provides a venue for government agencies to share what they are doing for the Filipino people.

This year’s event is centered on the theme “Pamahalaan at Mamamayan: Kapit-bisig sa Kaunlaran at Pagbabago.” The exhibit at the Trinoma Mall will run until June 21.

Kabisig Mindanao Foundation chairman Daniel Guillen said President Rodrigo R. Duterte has pushed for the continuation of this program to inform the public about the services offered by the government, as he encouraged the public to visit the three-day exhibit.

“Sa kautusan ng ating Pangulo na ipagpatuloy ang programa na ito, tayo po ay naririto,” Guillen said.

The Kabisig Expo is a one-stop information exhibit featuring government departments and agencies and their profiles, service facilities, programs, projects and accomplishments, including government-owned and controlled corporations and local government units. (Filane Mikee Cervantes/PNA)
