Kadiwa, SRA offices to sell P70/kilo sugar

The Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) will be selling sugar at P70.00 per kilo in their Quezon City and Bacolod City offices.

Kadiwa rolling stores and Kadiwa on Wheels will be selling sugar that are exclusively for direct selling and not for resale.

A total of 33,772.50 metric tons of refined sugars will be sold for consumers and end users according to the issued Clearances for Imported Sugars to 13 international sugar traders.

Part of it will be distributed to groceries, supermarkets, public and wet markets that can be sold through the Kadiwa Project of DA.

Meanwhile, SRA also issued a total of 6,625 metric tons that will be provided for industrial users.

The imported sugar will arrive between October to November 2022. – gb
