Peace between USA and Iran sought in Traslacion 2020

Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Tagle, in his homily in the mass in Quirino Grandstand held prior to the start of Traslacion 2020, prayed for the diminution of the heat between two military superpowers United States of America (USA) and Iran. He led the orison that the conflict will not lead to a war. ” . . . nag-a-amba ang panganib ng karahasan, at harinawa, ‘wag umuwi sa giyera, sa digmaan. At ipanalangin natin ang ating mga kapwa Pilipino” ( . . . the threat of violence looms, and hopefully, will not result in a war. And let us pray for our compatriots), prayed he.

During the mass, the devotees conversed sincerely to the Black Nazarene their respective prayers, primarily in behalf of the endeared people.

The progression kicked off at 4:15 A.M., an hour earlier than last year’s hap. Police officers attended actively the carriage, manning the front and sides of the vehicle. The statue left the area faster and easier compared to 2019’s procession. The remaining devotees in Quirino Grandstand voluntarily cleared the area from wastes.
