The nine candidates planted at least 50 trees of various species at the Arboretum, a botanical garden devoted to trees of the Energy Development Corporation (EDC) in Barangay Ilomavis here.

Arboretum is located at the foot of Mt. Apo, where the EDC operates geothermal plants.

Nancy Ibuna, EDC head for external stakeholder relations officer, explained to the ambassadresses of environmental protection the importance of renewable energy.
