Malacañang will open its doors once again to the public with Konsyerto sa Palasyo (KSP): Awit ng Magiting on Saturday, April 22.

KSP is a concert series initiative of the Office of the President, the Social Secretary’s Office, the Presidential Communications Office, and Radio Television Malacañang to give a spotlight to the new performing artists in the Philippines.

“Usually kasi iniisip po natin pag nagpe-perform sa Malacañang, classical or cultural performance lamang po ito, but in this case we are opening Malacañang doors to all kinds of Filipino talent,” KSP Creative Consultant Cris Villonco said during the Laging Handa public briefing on Friday, April 21.

The theme will serve as an extended celebration of Araw ng Kagitingan last April 9.

“We thought, what a great way to pay tribute sa ating mga men and women ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP),” Villonco shared.

Around 400 members and families of the AFP will join the program with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos.

Some of the local artists that will perform tomorrow are Samiweng Singers, Jeddi Cris Celeste, Jay R Constaños, Jay-R Costaños Jr., Crainzee, Ak Fella, Glnn, MC Julyo, Kenli Sibayan, Poppert Bernadas, Limuel LLanes, and Princess Vire.

Being the first of the series, KSP is eyeing to conduct a concert every three months with different themes. -ag
