Korean nabbed at Clark airport for illegal drugs, gun possession

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police arrested a Korean national for illegal possession of drugs, gun, ammunition at Clark International Airport in this province early Tuesday.

Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus, director of the Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon), said personnel of Clark Airport Police Station apprehended Hoseop Yoon, who was bound for Incheon, South Korea around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Corpus said the Korean national was discovered to be carrying a cal. 22 pistol with five rounds of ammunition and two sachets of suspected shabu.

“We are very eager in fighting all forms of lawlessness as well as illegal drugs and all police units are working together to eradicate, if not prevent, criminality in the region,” he said.

Charges for violations of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) were already filed against Hoseop. (Ric Sapnu/PNA)
