Labor sector eyed for COVID-19 vaccination in 2021

Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) Co-chair and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles assured that the labor sector will be vaccinated against the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) this year.

According to Cab. Sec. Nograles, the government aims to accomplish the workforce vaccination in the 3rd quarter of 2021 along with the arrival of more COVID-19 vaccines procured by the national government, local government units (LGUs), and the private sector.

He pointed out that the current priority is to vaccinate healthcare workers then the senior citizens who are under subgroup A of the priority list while the job sector is under subgroup B. -PTV News
