CAMP GEN. PACIANO RIZAL, Santa Cruz, Laguna – Police Senior Supt. Kirby John B. Kraft is the new Laguna provincial police acting director, succeeding Senior Supt. Dindo R. Reyes who served as officer-in-charge (OIC) for 10 days following the formal turnover of command ceremonies on Monday at this camp here.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Deputy Director General Ramon C. Apolinario, Deputy Chief for Administration; and Police Regional Office (PRO4A) Calabarzon Regional Director (RD) Chief Supt. Ma. O Ranada Aplasca presided over the change of command rites.

During the formal turnover rites, the termination order of Reyes as outgoing OIC of the Laguna Provincial Police Office (LPPO) was read followed by the reading of the designation order of incoming acting provincial director Kraft.

In his message, Reyes said that in a span of exactly 10 days of his duty as OIC, he has accomplished remarkable positive results in the police operations against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, illegal possession of firearms and the arrests of wanted persons.

He also cited that during his stint, the LPPO achieved the “Best Police Provincial Police Office” in the Calabarzon Region for three consecutive years.

For his part, Kraft expressed his appreciation to PNP chief, Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, Police Deputy Director General Apolinario and Aplasca for his new assignment at the helm of the Laguna provincial police headquarters.

Kraft vowed to continue the war against illegal drugs and the renewed implementation of “Oplan Tokhang” and Oplan Double Barrel on instructions from Gen. Dela Rosa.

Apolinario, assisted by Aplasca, officiated in the symbolic turnover of the provincial police banner which symbolizes command and responsibility to the new police provincial office chief.

The PNP deputy director general emphasized that “the challenge now is to continue the achievements of the former police Provincial Directors of Laguna for the past three years.”

“I am competent that Laguna will be in good hands because good followers like Police Senior Supt. Kraft could be also be a good leader,” Apolinario said.

He also enjoined the provincial police force here to “make the PNP proud and make Laguna a safer place to live with as a drug-free province.” (Saul Pa-a/PNA)
