Light to moderate rains due to southwest monsoon over PH

MANILA—The southwest monsoon or habagat enhanced by two low pressure areas (LPA) would bring light to moderate rains in most parts of the country on Tuesday.

In its 4 a.m weather bulletin Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPAs were last observed at 1,245 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan and the other at 550 kms west of Subic, Zambales.

Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Palawan, Mindoro Provinces and Western Visayas would have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the southwest monsoon.

Isolated rains would prevail in Metro Manila, Bicol region, and the rest of Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Central Luzon and Visayas also due to the southwest monsoon.

The rest of Luzon will experience cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 24-31 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 24-34 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 16-25 degrees Celsius; Angeles city 24-30 degree Celsius; Lipa City 21-29 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 25-32 degrees Celsius and Metro Davao 21-31 degrees Celsius. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
