The Department of Health recorded cases of heat exhaustion especially among students since March 2023

With the alarming heat index in the country, here are various ways to combat the heat during the dry season.

Stay hydrated

Make sure that everywhere you go, you have your water tumbler to keep you hydrated.

Also, keep in mind that drinks high in sugar can cause you to lose more body fluids.

Stay cool

When choosing your outfit of the day, prioritize lightweight and light-colored clothes to keep you cool.

Do not also forget to bring a fan that will help you cool especially when taking public transport.

Stay informed

Watch out for the latest heat index announcement to see if it is safe to travel outside.

Most importantly, familiarize yourself with the symptoms and treatment for heat-related illness. – gb
