DOF orders local treasurers to report expenses under Bayanihan Grant
The Department of Finance (DOF) has ordered all local treasurers to report the expenses under the Bayanihan Grant that was provided to Local Government Units (LGUs) to aid Filipinos affected by the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Bayanihan Grant is equivalent to one month share of internal revenue allotment (IRA) of the cities and municipalities for the year 2020 and half of the year’s IRA for one province.

The money is meant exclusively for programs and activities to fight COVID-19. The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has released PhP 30.82 billion for cities and municipalities under the Bayanihan Grant on April 7 while DBM has released PhP 6.2 billion for provinces on April 13.
