Lorenzana in ‘good condition’ after follow-up check up

Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana assured he is in “good condition” after his follow-up check up at the V. Luna Hospital in Quezon City, Monday, June 13.

Lorenzana fainted during the Independence Day rites at Rizal Park on Sunday, June 12.

He had an abrasion on his head due to the incident. He added his fainting must have been caused by tiredness and lack of sleep due to his “hectic schedule” following his flight back to the country from Singapore for international security engagements.

“Ang nangyari kasi kahapon, sobrang init at kakagaling ko lang sa Singapore nung araw na yun tapos diretso ako doon nung umaga, konting tulog lang. Combination ng pagod at puyat,” Lorenzana said.

Lorenzana also thanked again all of those who wished him well.

“Salamat po sa inyong concern. I know many of you prayed for me. Ako po ay nagpapasalamat. Kayo po ay mag-ingat din,” he added. – gb
