Lorenzana thanks Lacuna for saving him after he fainted

By Katrina Gracia Consebido

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana expressed his gratitude to Manila Mayor-elect Honey Lacuna for coming to his aid after collapsing during the Independence Day rites on Sunday, June 12, at Rizal Park.

In a Facebook post, Lorenzana thanked Lacuna for “being at the right place at the right time.”

“Do you believe in miracles? I do. Last Sunday, Mayor-elect Dra. Honey Lacuna of Manila saved me from a possible life-altering injury when I fainted due to the heat and exhaustion,” Lorenzana wrote.

In a follow up check up on Monday, June 13, Lorenzana said he had an abrasion on his head due to the incident.

He added his fainting must have been caused by tiredness and lack of sleep due to his “hectic schedule” following his flight back to the country from Singapore for international security engagements. – gb
