The driver involved in the road rage in Quezon City is not the registered owner of the red vehicle seen in the viral video, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) said.

LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza II said they will issue a show cause order on the registered owner of the red KIA sedan on Aug. 31.

Mendoza said Gonzales violated the Land Transportation and Traffic Code as a result of his altercation with a cyclist, Improper Person to Operate a Vehicle, and Reckless Driving.

He also thanked the netizens who uploaded and shared the video, adding that it became the basis of the swift action of the LTO.

“Let us help together to make all our roads safe by running after abusive motorists,” Mendoza said.
