LTO extends car registration validity

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has extended the validity of car registration in areas affected by the implementation of community quarantines.

According to LTO Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante, motor vehicles in all areas except NCR, Laguna, Cebu and Region 3, with plate numbers ending in 6 and are scheduled to register in June will not have any penalties until July 31.

The renewal of registration for motor vehicles in the NCR, Laguna, Cebu and Region 3 with plate numbers ending in 6 is extended until September 3 while those with plate numbers ending in 7, 8, 9 and 0 is extended 30 days after the expiration of their registration. These shall apply in all LTO offices.
