Magnitude 5.1 quake hits waters off Davao Occidental town

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake hit waters off Balut Island, Sarangani, Davao Occidental on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 5, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The tectonic quake hit 191 kilometers (km) southeast of Balut Island at 3:42 p.m.

It had a depth of 93 km.

No damages reported, but aftershocks are expected.
