Magnitude 5.1 quake jolts DavOcc

MANILA — A magnitude 5.1 earthquake jolted Davao Occidental on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The quake of tectonic origin struck 103 km. southeast of Sarangani at about 4:01 p.m. It had a depth of 93 km.

Aftershocks are possible, although Phivolcs is not expecting any damage from the earthquake.
Intensity 1 was reported in Kiamba and Alabel, Sarangani, Philvolcs added.
