Malacañan: PRRD unharmed by the 6.9 magnitude quake

The palace confirmed that President Rodrigo Duterte, who was in Davao City when the 6.9 magnitude earthquake visited Davao del Sur in the afternoon of Sunday, December 15, 2019, was safe from said hap. Further, the Presidential Security Group (PSG) mentioned that there was no structural damage on the dwelling of the Chief Executive there. The PSG, however, will look into the structural integrity of said residence.

The Malacañan also expressed that all concerned arms of the state are already on the ground to attend the afflicted area.

Advising on the incident, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles urged the public to be ready all the time for the worst that may transpire ahead. He also sought prayers for God’s protection and soonest recovery of harmed individuals from the shake.

On the surrounding issue on President Duterte’s statement of assets, liabilities, and net worth, the palace maintained that he conceals nothing, as manifested by his early submission of the same to the Office of the Ombudsman.
