Malacañang congratulates US President-elect Joe Biden

Malacañang congratulated United States President-elect Joseph “Joe” Biden after winning the 2020 US Elections.

President Rodrigo R. Duterte extended his warm congratulations on behalf of the Filipino nation. Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque also pointed out that the Philippines and US have a “long-standing bilateral relations.” He added that “we are committed to further enhancing the relations with the United States under the Biden administration.”

The Palace looks forward to “working closely with the new administration of President-elect Biden anchored on mutual respect, mutual benefit, and shared commitment to democracy, freedom and the rule of law.”

Vice President Leni Robredo also sent her warm congratulations to US President-elect Biden and his running mate, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
