Malacanañg lays out intensified measures vs. COVID-19

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced on Thursday that some members of the Cabinet have met to talk about the latest updates on COVID-19 and other related matters. 

In his statement, Secretary Roque disclosed some of the items discussed and established including:

  • The government has been addressing the issue of hazard pay of healthcare workers.

 

  • Two million vaccines are expected to be delivered on April 2021, with 1,500,000 from Sinovac and working on 500,000 from Gamaleya in April/May. 922,898 vaccines have already been administered.

 

  • The application of Debit Credit Payment Method (DCPM) of Health Care Facilities nationwide, which is around 9.7-B, but subject to Board assessment/estimation for NCR (National Capital Region) Plus affected areas.

 

  • The Inter-Agency Task Force shall meet on Saturday, April 10, 2021, to discuss the quarantine classification of the National Capital Region Plus.

The Palace Spokesperson said the meeting was conducted through video conferencing.

Though President Rodrigo Duterte was not present during the said virtual activity,

Secretary Roque had already pointed out earlier that he is not missing in action, and the public has nothing to worry about.

“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte remains fit and healthy for his age and we thank the Filipino people for voicing their concern and wishing the Chief Executive’s strength and good health during this time of COVID-19 pandemic as he continues to discharge his functions as head of the government,” he said.
