Malacañang: PRRD trust and approval ratings remain high

Malacañang Palace is not worried about the results of Pulse Asia’s survey on Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s trust and approval ratings which went down from 85% to 74% in the 3rd quarter of the 2019. Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that 74% is still high despite the plunge. The Senate investigation on the alleged “agaw bato” scheme of the police may have also affected the Chief Executive’s trust and approval rating. While waiting for the results of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s investigation on the alleged corruption within the police ranks, Panelo broached the idea of the Intelligence Affairs of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to conduct a lifestyle check on their officers in order to weed out corruption within its ranks.
