Malony rules J and P 9-Ball tilt

Fortunato “Atoy” Malony dominated the J and P 9-Ball Cup 2021 tournament held on Saturday night, Dec. 11, at the House Manila Pool Bar & Lounge, basement 1 of Holiday Inn Express, Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.

Malony posted a 10-9 win over Tristan Tenio in the championship round of the tournament sanctioned by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB).

Malony joins 2018 titlist Anthony Capco in the list of winners.

Malony bagged the P40,000 pot and will fly to Japan in an all-expenses-paid trip to compete in the Japan Tournament next year.

On the road to the finals, Malony overcame Jojo Santos (9-8) to arrange the titular showdown with Tenio.

Tenio advanced after winning over John Ray Arsenio, 9-7. (PR) – bny
