A certain alias “Allan” who allegedly raped his 13 year-old niece was arrested by law enforcers in a follow-up operation in Barangay San Juan in Taytay, Rizal this week.

The operation stemmed from a coordination by the Mimaropa police’s Regional Intelligence Division regarding a certain alias “Manny” who is also wanted for rape in relation to Republic Act No. 7610.

“‘Nasa area natin. Turns out na ito ay [nasa] kanilang most wanted [sa] regional level. Trinabaho natin ‘yan until such time na na-identify at nahuli natin si alias ‘Manny’ dito sa San Juan,” Taytay Municipal Police Station officer-in-charge LtCol. Gaylor Pagala said.

Based on police investigation, alias “Manny” or the younger brother of alias “Allan”, also raped the victim. “Manny” was earlier arrested by authorities.

Both suspects are facing rape charges.

“Apparently, ito’y (victim) kanilang kamag-anak at isang minor. Since 2015 until 2022 ay kanila itong separately na ginagahasa,” Pagala said.

“Ongoing pa ‘yong coordination natin kaugnay doon sa biktima kasi alam naman natin na minor. Ang presumption natin ay ongoing na ang intervention o pangangalaga ng DSWD o MSWDO,” he added.

Meanwhile, the police reminded guardians to look after their children, and for the public to report cases of abuse to authorities. –Report from Bien Manalo-ag
