A 40-year old man was put behind bars after a complaint of allegedly molesting his own child.

According to the initial investigation, the suspect was not included on the drug watchlist of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

However, the suspect was intoxicated while reportedly molesting his daughter.

Anthony Dacquel said.

The victim’s mother works as a stay-at-home employee and returns home once a week.

Meanwhile, the suspect denied being responsible for the crime, claiming that he was simply being nice to his daughter.

“Hindi ko naman po ginawa ‘yan. Paratang lang naman po sa akin,” the suspect said.

“’Yun pala may malisya pala yun…

However, the suspect’s sister claimed she was a witness to the crime committed against her niece and that she had experienced the same crime from her brother when she was younger.

The city’s Social Welfare has taken care of the child and he will be subject to counseling, while the suspect will be charged with a rape case in relation to child abuse. –KC/Report from Noel Talacay – gb
