The city government of Manila will administer booster shots for its medical front-liners and healthcare workers starting Friday (Nov. 19).

In a statement on Thursday, Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan said the city government has enough supplies of COVID-19 vaccine, including booster shots for its healthcare workers, and is ready and prepared for the administration of the COVID-19 booster shots.

According to the Manila Health Department (MHD), the administration of booster shots will be done in the city’s six district hospitals.

These are the Ospital ng Maynila, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center, Ospital ng Tundo, and Sta. Ana Hospital.

“Tayo po ay nag-imbak na ng bakuna na ibinigay sa atin ng national government, kaya po dire-diretso lang ito kasabay rin ng pagbibigay ng bakuna sa 12 years old hanggang 17 years old,” Lacuna-Pangan said.

She added that the city government has also started preparing for the administration of COVID-19 booster shots to the elderly. (PNA) – jlo
