The Manila local government unit’s (LGU) Health Department (MHD) conducted on April 16 house-to-house Covid-19 vaccination for individuals who cannot physically go to vaccination sites, as part of the national vaccination program.
According to Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, the home service vaccination aims to reach out to residents who are bedridden and are included in the A1, A2, and A3 categories.
Mayor Isko also ordered all barangay chairpersons to submit the list of all their bedridden residents with their names, caretakers, addresses, and contact numbers. He also encouraged all Manileños who wish to have their bedridden relatives inoculated to coordinate with their respective barangays to set a schedule.
To avail of the home service vaccination, a relative or representative of the bedridden resident must first give their consent for the inoculation, register at the MHD’s registration site (www.manilacovid19vaccine.ph), and show proof of the bedridden resident’s comorbidity such as a medicine prescription, hospital record, or surgical and pathological record.
As of this writing, the Manila LGU has dispensed 74,245 vaccines.
