Manila, Valenzuela roll out booster doses for eligible population

The nation’s capital has already administered over 50,000 booster doses, while Valenzuela expanded its booster rollout to cover A4 and A5 priority groups.

Non-residents are accommodated in Manila booster rollout, but must register at https://manilacovid19vaccine.ph/.

“‘Yung record po nila na lalabas sa booster doon makukuha para sa ID nila, sa likod may lalabas na booster. Sa mga taga-Manila po naka-register na po sila dati, ang kailangan na lang po ‘yung vaccination ID nila,” Kag. Maricel del Rosario of Manila Liga ng Barangay Vaccination Team said.

The city continues to vaccinate first doses to individuals who have not yet been vaccinated.

In Valenzuela, A4 and A5 booster recipients are allowed to choose their vaccine brand. The vaccination observes a first-come, first-served setup and welcomes walk-in vaccinees.

Walk-in recipients must have taken their primary dose in the city and that their vaccine interval is within the approved guideline for booster administration.

“They have to wait kasi wala pa po tayong booster na magbibigay ng less than six months except for Janssen po,” vaccination team leader Dr. Ma. Nieves Cruz said.

Valenzuela allocated 800 doses to each vaccination site for the booster of A1 to A5 groups. To date, they have already administered 4,000 Pfizer shots, 500 AstraZeneca, and 50 Sinovac.

Meanwhile, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) reminded local government units of their organized and quick encoding of data from the three-day Bayanihan Bakunahan.

“We continue to appeal na magbigay ng karampatang resources at personnel para sa encoding ng mga ating nabakunahan para tumaas din ang success rate sa ating VaxCert portal, ‘yung ating VaxCertPH digital certificate,” DILG USec. Jonathan Malaya said. – Reports from Partick de Jesus and Louisa Erispe/AG-rir
