President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said anew on Wednesday, March 1, that eliminating hunger remains as one of his goals in his administration.

This was after he led the Kadiwa ng Pangulo program of the Department of Agriculture to make rice, fish, poultry, livestock, fruits and vegetables, and other essential commodities accessible to less fortunate families.

He said his government will continue to provide fresh and affordable agricultural and fishery products and provide extra markets for local farmers and fishermen through the program.

The President also mentioned his administration’s urban agriculture projects for food security which is also supported by the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

-ag
