President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said his administration is working for a “much better Philippines” for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to come home to for good as he vowed assistance for them.

In a meeting with the Filipino community in Washington, DC, Marcos said he is hoping that OFWs return to the Philippines with a better transportation system, internet, and governance.

We are strongly committed to pursue the third pillar of our foreign policy, which is assistance to Filipino nationals,” he said.

He also thanked OFWs for supporting him during the May elections, as well as for their services and contribution to the country especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, the President encouraged Filipinos in the US to ask their relatives and friends to visit the Philippines as a boost to the tourism industry.
