Mayor Moreno eyes abolition of MTRO

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is set to abolish the Manila Tricycle Regulatory Office due to allegations of corruption. Moreno accused MTRO employees of using the office to take bribes. The move is intended to protect tricycle, pedicab and e-trike drivers who earn a living to provide for their families. The MTRO denied the allegations but is intent on abiding by the Manila local government’s directive.
