Mega vax center in Araneta opens

Around 1,000 individuals were inoculated against COVID-19 today (May 15) during the first day operations of a mega vaccination site at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

Watch this report from Ken Bornilla:

The QC government on May 13 announced that it has tapped the coliseum as one of the city’s vaccination sites which was  “capable of delivering 1,000 to 1,500 COVID shots per day.”

Among the recipients of COVID-19 AstraZeneca-developed jabs were persons with comorbidities.

This is strictly limited to online vaccine application registrants, while walk-ins and barangay recommendations are not yet allowed.

Authorities have already coordinated with walk-in applicants to settle their schedule. – Report from Ken Bornilla/AG-rir
