Meralco power rate up January

By Gabriela Baron

Consumers will have to face another hike in electric charges following Meralco’s announcement to raise power rates this January.

This is an equivalent to an increase of P125 for residential consumption of 200 kilowatt hours.

Meralco said this is brought about by rising generation charges and the completion of the refund orders mandated by the Energy Regulatory Commission. With a report from Naomi Tiburcio-ag
