MMDA Chairperson Lim passes away at 65


Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairperson Danilo Lim passed away Wednesday morning at the age of 65.

This was confirmed by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque. The Palace also expressed its condolences towards the family, loved ones, and colleagues of MMDA Chairman Lim.

According to Secretary Roque, MMDA Chair Lim served the Duterte Administration with “professionalism, competence and integrity.”

“He would be dearly missed. May the perpetual light shine upon him, and may his soul, through the mercy of the Almighty, rest in eternal peace,” he added.

The MMDA also expressed its heartfelt thanks to all who sent their sympathies to the agency.

According to the agency’s official statement, Lim died due to cardiac arrest before 8:00 AM, Wednesday. It can be recalled that the MMDA Chief announced on December 29, 2020 that he tested positive for the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). – Report from Mela Lesmoras/PTV News Online
