MMDA to strictly implement EDSA loading/unloading scheme

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will be implementing a strict loading and unloading scheme along EDSA. This is based on the ant principle where only one line is provided at the loading bay for buses. Cutting is not allowed. In order to ensure that bus drivers would abide by this new policy, MMDA personnel will strictly monitor loading and unloading of passegers to make sure that each stop will not take too long. This scheme is meant to ease off traffic congestion in the Metro’s major thoroughfare. The MMDA is also set to meet management of malls in Metro Manila before the end of October to discuss the adjustment of store operating hours and traffic rerouting scheme.
