Moderna COVID-19 vaccine also works on ages 12 to 17

The biotech firm Moderna Inc. confirmed on Tuesday (May 25) that its COVID-19 vaccine is also effective on individuals aged 12 to 17 years old.

In a statement by Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel, based on a new study, the vaccine is deemed to be “highly effective” to children with no major safety problem.

In relation to this, Moderna will submit its findings to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to acquire an emergency use authorization by July. The US FDA initially granted an EUA for the children’s vaccine of the Pfizer-BioNTech.  (PTV News)/NGS-rir
