Monday forecast: Warm weather, isolated rain showers

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

The country will experience warm weather, but isolated rain showers will dampen several areas due to localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said Monday, April 17.

Weather forecaster Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the rains may last for 30 minutes to an hour.

He added that no low pressure area was seen to affect the country this week.

A tropical cyclone is less likely to enter or develop in the country until next week.

Easterlies are affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the entire archipelago, PAGASA said. – cf
