Monsoon trough to bring scattered rains over Luzon, W. Visayas

By Ma. Teresa Montemayor/PNA

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Mimaropa, Western Visayas, and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, and Batangas on Sunday (June 13) due to the monsoon trough.

In its 5 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said these areas will experience possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also due to the monsoon trough or intertropical convergence zone, it added.

Light to moderate winds headed east to southeast to south will blow over the whole country, causing slight to moderate coastal waters.

The minimum temperature will be 25.2 °C and the maximum temperature will be 32.4 °C. (PNA) – jlo
