MRT-3 suspends personnel involved in ‘hasty cleaning of the train’

The administration of the Metropolitan Railway Transit-3 (MRT-3) has suspended its personnel involved in the “hasty cleaning of the train”.

According to the MRT-3, it does not tolerate any health protocol violation while continuously providing service to the riding public amidst the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

A strict order has been issued to the cleaning and disinfection staff to conduct the process thoroughly and ensure the safety of passengers.

“Sumitomo is deploying additional staff to supervise its disinfection teams and is rolling out a re-training of its maintenance personnel upon the MRT-3 management’s bidding,” the administration disclosed.

The MRT-3 will install additional CCTV cameras to monitor the proper cleaning and disinfection of trains amidst the pandemic. It reiterated that its main priority is the health and safety of the passengers.
