MRT, LRT, PNR increase passenger capacity by 30%

The maximum passenger capacity for the Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3), Light Rail Transit 1 and 2 (LRT-1, 2), and the Philippine National Railways (PNR) has increased by 30% starting October 19, Monday.

372 passengers are now allowed to board each MRT-3 train set, 370 passengers for the LRT-1, and 486 passengers for the LRT-2 while the passenger capacity of the PNR depends on the train model.

Minimum health protocols are still strictly implemented inside the trains. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) will assign train marshals to ensure the public’s compliance with the social distancing policy. – PTV News
