MWSS approves higher water charges

The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) has given the green light for Maynilad and Manila Water’s rate increase for the fourth quarter of 2019. Maynilad will impose an additional PhP0.13 per cubic meter, while PHP0.69 cubic meter will be charged by Manila Water. The increase, which was caused by foreign currency differential adjustment, will be felt by consumers in the middle of October.
