MWSS assures no water interruption during COVID-19 crisis

The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) has assured that there will be no water interruption during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic since the water supply in Angat Dam, Ipo Dam, and La Mesa Dam is enough for the summer season.

Angat Dam’s water level on Wednesday was at 192.98 meters lower than the spilling level at 217 meters. According to MWSS, it is still 4 meters higher than the normal water elevation at 188. 53 meters.

Meanwhile, the water level of La Mesa Dam is at 75 meters, far from critical level.

The agency clarifies that the interruption that may have been experienced by some residents is due to repair works of the two water concessionaires. – PTV News
