MWSS orders water concessionaires to implement grace period, installment scheme

The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) has ordered the water concessionaires, Manila Water and Maynilad, to implement a grace period and installment scheme.

In accordance with the aim of the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act, the water concessionaires were ordered to implement a 30-day grace period to their consumers for the bills under the ECQ and MECQ period. Aside from that, the MWSS has also requested for the implementation of a 3-month installment.

The consumers will now have adequate time to pay the bills without interest, penalty, and other charges.
