NAIA concessionaires’ rental payments waived until end-2021

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) waived rental payments of concessionaires at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

In a message on Friday (Aug. 28), DOTr Assistant Secretary Goddes Hope Libiran said Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade and Manila International Airport Authority Board approved the waiving of rental fees of concessionaires at NAIA until the end of the year.

“Kanina ay inaprubahan ni Secretary Art Tugade at ng MIAA Board ang pag-waive ng rental payments ng mga concessionaires sa NAIA effective July 1 hanggang December 2021,” Libiran said. 

“In effect, waived na po ‘yung Rental Fee ng mga concessionaires sa NAIA sa buong 2021,” she added.

Earlier, Tugade has approved the initial waiver for rental payments of concessionaires in food, retail, and lounge at NAIA from January to June 30 this year. – Report from Karen Villanda / CF – rir
